Supporting with Bloom

The following article was in the Kings Seeds newsletter and is shared below with permission.

At Kings Seeds, we believe seeds carry more than just future flowers and food. Sometimes, they

also carry comfort, hope, and quiet moments of healing.

For the past few years, we’ve been honoured to support Miscarriage Matters NZ by donating

wildflower seeds used in their beautiful handmade seed bombs, included within care packages

for women and whānau experiencing miscarriage loss.

Since beginning in 2020, Miscarriage Matters NZ has distributed more than 7,000 care

packages across Aotearoa through hospitals, midwives, volunteers, and the Bountiful NZ app.

Their aim is simple but incredibly powerful: to offer something caring and human during a time

that can often feel lonely and overwhelming.

The seed bombs are made using wildflower seeds, potting mix, coffee grounds, flour, and water,

then lovingly packed into care parcels by volunteers around New Zealand. A small act of

planting, nurturing, and watching something grow again. One recipient shared:

“Your package was a moment of tender care, wāhine to wāhine, that made such a difference.”

We are incredibly grateful to play a small part in supporting this meaningful mahi and helping

bring awareness to the important work Miscarriage Matters NZ continues to do throughout our

communities.
